What are Moonlings?

Moonlings are a collection of 10,000 NFTs (Non-Fungible ERC-721 Tokens) living deep within Earth’s Moon on the Ethereum blockchain. What began as a community-led project born from the Pixel Vault Founder's DAO, has evolved into far more. Brought to life by artist JuicyJama and a passionate team, Moonlings are inspired by Pixel Vault’s Metahero Identities and pay homage to those incredible Heroes & Villains.

The Moonlings goal is to grow into a brand that sparks positive change, in and out of the metaverse. A vibrant community, engaging lore, fun art, and strong MoonBank lend themselves to that mission. The roadmap will be driven by the Moonlings team, drawing from community ideas, input, and involvement. Owning a Moonling gives you voting rights to help shape the direction of the project and its collaborative roadmap. We hope you love the Moonlings as much as we do.

What is the supply?

10,000 available for mint. And yes, there will be special 1/1s! 👀

Is there an Allowlist?

Yes, we call them Moonlists and they will be generous and widely distributed, with a maximum of 2 mints reserved, regardless of how many Moonlists someone qualifies for. This is a grind-free zone! Moonlists will not be determined by asking the community to complete tasks.

How much will they cost?

‍The mint price is 0.069 ETH. Maximum 5 per transaction for public mint.

What are the Moonlings Member Benefits?

MoonBank is our community treasury that, with your input, we will use to grow the Moonlings brand. Moonlings holders will get early access to future drops, entry to raffles and small exclusive collections, a members only chat, and voting rights to influence the future of the project.

How do you plan on growing the MoonBank?

MoonBank is our community treasury that, with your input, we will use to grow the Moonlings brand. It consists of a diversified portfolio of liquid and income generating assets. Funds received from the initial sale, staking rewards, and secondary royalties will be allocated as follows:

1. Initial Sale | Upon sell out, approximately 600 ETH will be generated from the initial mint.

75% to the Community MoonBank for continued project growth via a diversified portfolio of liquid and revenue-generating assets:
• 38% will be used to purchase and stake MetaHeroes within approximately 30 days of sell out.
• 18.5% will be used for $POW growth (a mix of Liquidity Pool and market purchasing $POW tokens), that will earn LP trading fees.
• 18.5% will go into the Community MoonBank for continued project growth.

25% to the Moonlings Operational Treasury

2. Staked $POW Rewards | Each staked MetaHero will earn approximately 4500 $POW per month until the staking period ends in approximately 4 months.
• 75% to Community MoonBank
• 25% to Moonlings Operational Treasury
3. Secondary Sales Royalties | 5% earned through secondary market sale royalties will be split as follows:
• 50% to the Community MoonBank
• 45% to the Moonlings Operational Treasury
• 5% to the lead artist, JuicyJama

How will the Moonlings Operational Treasury be used?

Operational budget includes compensation for team members, marketing efforts, legal consulting, and other business expenses such as website, domains, ENS names, etc.

Is Moonlings a DAO?

Moonlings is not a DAO. However, owning a Moonling will give you voting rights and input on how the team shapes the future of Moonlings. Votes will be calculated via Snapshot. More details to come.

Will any mints be held back from the public mint?

Yes. Mints held back from public mint are allocated as follows:

• 300 for Marketing Initiatives

The allocation of 300 set aside for marketing efforts will be held in the operational treasury for ongoing marketing campaigns and/or community giveaways.

• 600 for Team Compensation

All team members are being paid solely with a mint allocation, with the exception of the artist and lawyers. The number of mints received will vary with the maximum being 25 mints for a single team member. We have an internal agreement with the team that we will not sell or trade more than 10 NFTs within the first 6 weeks of mint. After that the team is free to sell or trade as they see fit.

We have a committed team of volunteers working hard to bring value to the Moonlings brand. While most of us see our allocations as long-term holds, we do not want to stop anyone from benefiting from positive market conditions and being paid for their hard work if they choose to sell.
